I live in Orange, Texas where the Sabine tournament will be held and will be riding as a Marshal for the first two days. I'm sure there will be several local TFF's there. Should be fun...

My family will most likely go to it. We were just talking about wanting to go see these Heros of mine!

I'm also going as a Marshall for 3 days, but will be there for the week, bringing the boat and try to do some fishin' while there. Then leave Sun. and go to Falcon and do it all over again. Lookin' forward to a fun 2 weeks. Hope to learn something along the way from those guys. See ya all there.

Have fun being a marshal! I did it on the Onieda Lake event last year and it was awesome.

I live in Orange and have fished the Sabine River and surrounding waterways for 22 years. I know that the local supporters of this tournament have worked hard to make it very special for the Elites and visitors as well. Concerts, carnival, fireworks, and of course the tournament activities. It should be a fun experience.

I'll be a marshal too. Really looking forward to that!

I'll be a Marshall also for 3 days. It should be an interesting tournament. I look for 12lbs a day to take it. It's he guy that can have that one big bag that will be the man to beat

You better be prepared anywhere you go in any town! Actually, the city ramp has security cameras with a direct link to the police dept. If there is an issue, the police response time is fast.

Hey guys....I live on Taylors Bayou, which will be in play for the tournament. We had quite a few pros scouting the bayou dating as far back as November. I've paid a lot of dues on the bayou over the years and can generally stay on fish most of the time.

For anyone coming in early and wanting to hook up for some fishing, shoot me a pm. Sounds like fun!

Strictly speaking for Taylors, there are 2 not so good scenarios playing out. I was catching nice females in my best spawing area as far back as 5-6 weeks ago with water temps. consistently 62 - 67 degrees. In the last couple weeks, the nicer females have left the area. This has been typical over the last several years transitioning into postspawn and I completely lose touch with those good fish. Secondly, from the consistent rains, the bayou is very dirty, which takes a lot of water out of play, and really makes the fishing a lot tougher.

5 weeks ago, you could have caught some 15 to 20 lb stringers. Currently, 10 lbs would be a great day.

I grew up in this area, so if anyone is looking for some good food, or interesting things to do, just hit me up.

See y'all

The pros better lock up the boats. There will be some scouts if you know what i mean. Not the greatest part of town to be. But the city will step up security and patrols for this. As for fishing, if I happen to get a break from work I will be there. Going to be interesting to see if the river or the marsh wins.

Security will not be an issue. I have used the ramp a lot at all times of the day and night. I have never had, seen, or heard of any problems. With all of the traffic and attention it will be getting it will make it even less of a threat.
