Cedar Creek has been pumping out some nice crappie lately. Water temp has been holding steady about 54 degrees. We've been finding the crappie in 1-15ft foot of water depending on the conditions. It's the typical February pattern down here. Early in the morning has been the best bite lately. We've been using slab bandits from www.crazyanglertackle.com and Thump Buddies from www.lightsouttackle.com

By the looks of the eyes bulging on the crappie in pic #1
I'd say they were caught in fairly deep water. The fish i catch on LOP have that trait.

Those are some crappies. Never fished Cedar Creek for crappie before. Might give a try one day.

When the fish move shallow, it is supposed to be a dock shooters paradise...I have got an invite from Eric (he has strong dock shooting ability from what I have seen) to fish with him come April....and I intend to take him up on that....Chuck even said the dock shooting is good when the fish move up..and Okiebob...etc., they all have close to the same opinion on spring time dock shooting...I can't wait to give it a try over there...after a decade plus long layoff.
