I had never seen or fished RC but after reading about it here and needing to get some White Bass action, I scouted on 2/18 and fished on 2/19. Periods of no action followed by 2-3 fish on consecutive casts. A dozen total fish over about 4 hours - a couple of crappie, a couple of hybrids and rest whites - all spawning females. Slow rolling a roadrunner after letting it hit bottom. When you think you are reeling as slow as possible, go a little slower. smile A few pics:

nice fish and report, thanks for sharing. smile

The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

Well undersize or not that is your business . So How about helping a good cause and donating to the Ray Hubbard Sportsman Association and try to replace the hybrid you caught. 5.00 will be a good donation to replace 10 or so fingerlings we plan to buy this spring Here is the link to the web site http://rayhubbardsportsmensassociation.com/ So All the creek going peeps can help us replenish the lake and you all can benefit as well. Every year those same Hybrids we catch ( and are trying to replace ) come up in that creek so you all can harvest them. So WHY NOT JUMP ABOARD banana for a good cause and everyone will benefit DONATE TODAY :thumb flag

PlanoKeith - Any fish kept was of legal size. It is never worth the legal risk, the moral implications or the potential negative effect on the fishery by not following the law. I checked out your website - looks like good work by the RHSA and the efforts are appreciated - a donation will be sent your way.

You're right FishAll50 I was wrong to assume that you were not following the rules. I offer a public apology and hope you will forgive me for assuming the worst. Gob Bless and Thank you thumb

Oh and PS: Nice catch on the creek thumb
