I know we are blessed to have some great fishing here in our own back yards. As good as our local fishing is I still dream of getting in on some of those big Mississippi River cats! Not just because of the size and numbers but because of the whole river experience and the travel/vacation part of it.

How about you? Where would you go if you could take a week long trip to chase catfish on any body of water in the country?

Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam! I have fished it four times and would go again today! Twenty to thirty pound blues are a load of fun! April is the time to go, watch the generation schedule and fish when they are generating. Turkey livers and skipjack drifted on humps. Nothing like it.

Right where the Mighty Mississippi and Missouri Rivers meet, the James River and probably one of those Tennessee lakes too.

Phil King is who taught me to fish the Tennessee River. Great guy, and fun to fish with!
