The only ones I can find at Academy are $80. Is that right?! My FF just arrived but I did not budget for another $80 for a battery! I was expecting like $25! bang

The costs just keep adding up...

I bought a small 12 V battery at an outdoor store near my job for $12.99. It is a deer feeder battery. I got the smallest one, but I will probably go back and get the slightly bigger one. The small one doesn't hold a charge very long. Don't pay $80!

A 12v rechargeable deer feeder battery should run about $20.

Adrian pointed this to me before I thought about getting the deer feeder battery.

Stealth Cam Battery

It is bout $40 but it comes in an enclose waterproof box and charger.

The deer feeder battery cost about $20 and after factoring a box and charger you would spent more than $40.

Oh man. Thanks guys. I did a search on Academy's website and they had 3 of them, all around $80.

Thanks for the links guys. Big relief.

Might try and install the FF this week. How long do I need to allow the epoxy to set? So I can schedule the install properly in advance of Saturdays trip.

Yea i tried to find the battery on Academy's website myself but couldn't find them. They do carry them in their store though. They will be over in the deer hunting area.

You can get them at Lowe's, too. They are used as backup for alarm systems. They are sealed, too. You can lay them on their side or upside down if needed.
