A buddy of mine saw her catch this one on a Zebco 33 and a Trick worm. He was loading his boat and saw her struggling to land it. It was at the ramp in Steamboat Shores.

That was a tremendous experience I'm sure. I took my kids to see her many times. They never said let's go to BPS, they always said they wanted to go see Miss Flo.

Just out of curiosity, when a big fish like that dies in the tank? What do you do with it? Research? Trash? Supper?

Yea, but those four fish the Gayles caught were on water dogs. That's not angling, its glorified catfishing.

research, she was sent to University of Florida's fisheries bio dept.
