Haha... I'm 5'7". When I sit for too long I get kinda cramped up. I like to stand and fish, I guess it's from all the years of bank fishing lol.

Well, I got a call from my dealer the other day. He said "I think I got something youll like". $25 bucks for a Mariner 2.5 outboard. I think it will fit well on my "battleship" for when I go to the bigger lakes (fork, Lew, Roberts, rope pond).

I guess "dealer" means something totally different than it did back in my day. Haha

No it's the same. Lol they give you things that you dont necessarily need, but you know you want. But at least my dealer gives me good prices.

This thing is super light weight. I'm very impressed so far. Gotta little fixing to do to the fuel tank and a lot of cleaning. But well worth it.

Dang, wish I had a 2 stroke. My 4 stroke 2.5hp runs like a washing machine.

Hey Kolton, I have the same exact motor for my 10' bass hunter. Great little motor. Weighs only 28 pounds. Keep an extra spark plug handy as they tend to foul easily when you don't use fresh fuel. Kinda of a catch 22 since these motors use very little fuel. A gallon will go a long way. Keep the fuel/ignition system clean and that motor will keep you very happy. With me and my 10 year old son that motor will push us 5 mph. Also, keep an extra shear pin handy, don't want to be caught far away when one gets sheared. Don't ask me how I know.
It will save you precious battery life for your trolling motor.
Have fun with it!

On a side note, I am off work on Monday and was thinking about hitting Bachman for the first time for a few hours in the morning. Who's with me?

If you don't know, Academy has your seat braces for $39.95 each. They are on the website if you want to see them.

Another option Is you can fit a 44 qt cooler perfectly sideways in the bottom of your boat. I think that's the right size. Anyway, you can store drinks in it and use it for a seat at the same time
