I personally do not remember but my father says when I was 2 and 3 years old he would put a crappie jig on a bobber up on Greenbelt in our old v-bottom and says that he couldn't fish for having to take off all the little brim that I would catch.

Pico Perch about 1955. I cast it out and got a backlash and cleared it and when I reeled it up off the bottom, a 2# bass hit it. I was using a Plueger Summit reel on a glass heddon rod. The following cast, I backlashed again and when I reeled up a 4# channel cat hit it.

Not sure if it was my first fish on a lure but my first bass was on a spinnerbait at PK in the middle of the lake. I was about 10 or 11 and my Dad said you won't catch any out there on that, and bam there she was!
