Does the fence run through the middle of the lake? If so that makes me wonder if it is owned by more than one person or if it is partially publicly held. If there is an area without fencing and lacking any no trespassing signs and markers the police have no grounds to write a citation. I suppose they might warn you off at the request of the landowner, but I don't think they take too well to being the landowners private security force simply because the owner is too lazy or too cheap to secure his property.I do understand why someone might cross-fence a lake if he's a cattleman, But if he wants people to stay off his land it must be fenced or bare minimum marked. I bet you could ask a few of the WPD officers are maybe a Sheriff's deputy about this place and get the scoop on it.

OK, I have established ownership using the interactive map found here. http://gismaps.collincountytx.gov/main.html use the parcel identifier on the menu withe the icon "I" in a red circle.

The property is entirely owned by:
Birmingham Land LTD
613 Nw Loop 410 Ste 510
San Antonio, TX 78216-5509

A land development corp. So if you want to fish this place you might oughta get with it, cause rest assured they'll screw it up soon enough.

Awsome info Dave maybe I can locate an email address or write a letter. I might be wrong but I think plans for the area might be in the works for a nature preserve that would include trails I will have to check that info again but that could be good and bad just depends. Same goes for Muddy creek resevoir I think. With Wylie growing and all the houses being built in the area it would make sense.

I drove by again this morning there is a no trespassing sign close to the little bridge facing Brown St. that says Wylie PD on it. Not sure if it is the same property or what though. If your cruising down Brown St. toward the 7-11 you will see the sign on your right.

There is no sign from the PD located there that has been put there by the PD. Don't ask how I know smile. I will attempt to locate the owners info again. There is also another pond on Lake Field and country club. If you turn on Lake Field it is to your right before top of hill. It is Corp property but part is City park or TO be city park. I have only fished it once years ago. The fence in the pond is very old. It was more for not loosing your fly on it.

Thanks good info Dtheg. I looked up the info on Muddy Creek Reservoir it is the one off of Lakefield its city park now called Parkside Park. Wish they would make the site 5 pond into a city park as well. It would be awesome to be able to fish both places especially if you could drop a kayak or canoe in there and fish them.
