ive caught some nice ones out of the cast net on ray hubbard bigger than my hand and with awesome colors

Thanks for the replies. Caddo, Fork, Sam, T Bend. I never heard of Ivie? Yeah, I wasn't gonna mention it, but since RH spilled the beans I figured might as well. Place has been producing big CN gills for a minute.

Yea jagg I have caught those copper nose at ivie on full size bass lures several times.

i heard from locals about Ivie and the big gills it has .... never been there but several folks told me its got some really nice big bluegill in it

Around south Fort Worth and Johnson County there are some spots were I can usually count on an 8.75" greenie or two but that's about the biggest I've come across. They're pretty fat usually and look nice. I fish creeks though so you'd probably find bigger at the lakes. Cleburne State Park used to have a good sampling.
Chief Wiggum: This is Papa Bear. Put out an APB for a male suspect, driving a... car of some sort, heading in the direction of, uh, you know, that place that sells chili. Suspect is hatless. Repeat, hatless.
