I feel with time spent to experiment anyone could probably find their love line. That being said who has the time and money�..the pro�s I guess but not the average joe. I�ve been stuck on braid for a while now. Been wanting to try a few rigs with fluorocarbon but price and lack of time has kept me from finding one that I like and have confidence in. I don�t� mind running my braid with a fluorocarbon leader.

Exactly. Makes pretty good leaders, though, and a spool will last a long time that way.

The ONLY thing I hate about it is the price. When I fish with others that are NOT using flouro, they get out fished at least 5:1. I will always spend the extra $$$ for the line.

Using Fluoro has a learning curve, but is well worth it IMO. I love the sensitivity of it along with its high density that allows it to sink thereby giving you better contact with your bait.
You have to try some new knots and religiously wet the knot, being careful to not have the line twist in the middle of a knot.
I really like the Shaw Grigsby knot, kind of a double San Diego Jam. It's really easy to tie and is strong.
Every type of line has its drawbacks and benefits. Fluoro is no different.
For bottom contact fishing, fluoro's my only line. About half my cranking setups have it. For jerkbaits, it's the bomb.

I use XPS when I find it onsale I only buy Vicious Pro Elite now and have been useing it since it came out and will not try anything else. As with any floro you need to spray with conditioner the night before and a few times throughout the day and line memory is gone.

I use fluorocarbon for leaders. In the lakes I fish, you won't get many bites with straight braid. I used Big Game for years, but it stretches way too much.

I am fishing whit braid +fluorocarbon leader(SEGUAR CARBON PRO,XPS,2LB.15LB.for over 10 years.
I have some spools of SEGUAR CARBON PRO and XPS over 5 years old and still like new.

With Fireline original(smoke)4lb.+14lb.XPS fluorocarbon leader i caught one red fish 23lb.

I never fish without fluorocarbon leader,and no fish broke the leader .I loose some fish because i don't pay attention making the knot on the hook so i don't have nothing against quality fluorocarbon leader ,like SEGUAR CARBON PRO and XPS

Loc: Houston.Texas For many years i use XPS FLUOROCARBON line(BASS PRO SHOPS) and SEAGUAR CARBON PRO ,very good fluorocarbon line(price/quality).
I have no reason to look for more expenssive fluorocarbon line._________________________

It you are not tournament fishing leave Flouro only and quit complaining about cost!bank fisherman do not need Flouro and those with boat should be tournament fishing to learn what Frourocarbon is good for.

I hated it untill I used Seagur Invisx. I like it now and think that I get more bites on it.

I love invizx use it on my worms and jigs. No problems no kinks super sensitive and strong.

I had bad problems with breaking of bass pro xps, it would not take the shock and i almost quit fluro. A pro advised me to tie a palomar knot and be careful not to pull the knot down too tight. I now love bps fluro. No longer have any problems. Just cinch the knot firmly and the problem is gone. I fish shallow and have to have line that will take the shock on short line. The over tightening on the knot was the entire problem. There is no problem with slipping and you would think the knot would tighten up while fishing but for some reason it does not. Give it a try and do not give up on fluro.

I have to admit .... I like it on my worm rods and my crappie rods!
I don't use it on any of my other rods.
I use 15# Seaguar Invizx on my worm rods and 10# Berkley Vanish on my crappie rods with no problems in normal use.
I use the fish-n-fool knot for both.

Because it sux! It cannot handle a hard hook set when flipping. I've tried em all and wet knot! It cost me money on kicker fish in tournaments..it may be better for cranks because you don't have the pressure off hard hook set. But I went back to stren mono and feel way more confident. Also tried to izorline copolymer and I like it as well.
