For $170 pay the extra out of pocket for a duckett. I think one academy in round rock or Austin still has a 6'9" Kistler argon clearanced at $60.

Go to the Academy website and order it there. You should be able to use one of their gift cards. If not call the customer service desk and talk to them about ordering you one.

Used to get my Cara's at the Midland store. There is not one from Abilene to Odessa . Our Abilene store sucks. Our local Wal-Mart carries better rods than academy

No Falcon Cara's at the Academy on Forest Ln.in Dallas. You may look online as there used to be a better selection there.

Hate to tell you this but Academy would love to get out of the fishing business altogether. The only profitability for Academy in fishing equipment is the Zebco 33 crowd, true story. High end merchandise does not turn over enough to buy it.

New owners are trying to pump up their stores as we speak to re sell at a profit. Academy is no longer a mom and pop operation. 'Sales per square feet' is the name of the game in retail business.
