The owl creek area has always been good for me. I'm no pro but I catch a few sometimes.around the 36 bridge is a good place to look for bait too

best catfishing tip I ever heard if its dead put it on your hook and let it sit

Its not about how deep you can fish but by how you wiggle your worm

Belton lake is hard to fish sometimes, it does have catfish and others, best time for me is between April and October.Alot of the cats are spawning now.Stampede creek is good after a rain.Owl creek area is good but there is a lot of old trot lines on the bottom in some areas,if your drifting.Good luck.

Belton can be tough. Iv caught fish in owl creek before but I fished there this weekend and got shut out. Belton has been really tough last few times I have been on it.

Chemdawg don't get discouraged,I have caught alot of nice fish out of there. I usually fish Belton every weekend, but have only fished a few times in the last couple months because of a back injury. I went on Sunday and caught 11 blues biggest was only about 4 lbs. The sand flats, and Rogers park area has been producing for me right now. 15-25 FOW.

I would try a cove at Mcgregor park that has produced some nice catfish before it is also like right before 36 bridge. When you are driving down the dirt road to the lake at Mcgregor there is a gate to your it is the first on turn in there and if the cove back there there should be some nice cats and bait but if not then on that same dirt road go out towards the main lake and they'll be there if not in the cove.

Catfishing has been off for several year on Belton and I am thinking the jug line and trot lines have taken there toll on it. It use to be good
