can't speak for purtis specifically, but the lakes in the same are will have fish in the bedding areas getting to work by wed. jmo from what i saw saturday and looking at the forecast. good timing!!

Beds aren't in the shallows like other lakes.. Carp and gar roaming the banks, all beds are 4-8ft deep in the main lake. (update from a friend)
You don't always need a boat.. But gosh darn it, sure helps!
