Here are the results when people vote with their checkbook. These are national retail registrations of new boats for the first 3 quarters of 2012.

Ranger 2,386
Nitro 1,730
Skeeter 1,287
Triton 643
Stratos 377
Phoenix 281
Basscat 258
Legend 144
Blazer 56
Bullet 43
Charger 16
Allison 11

These numbers do not distinguish categories of boats, IE bay boats, walleye boats, fish and ski etc. They are 17-22 ft fiberglass boats by each brand.

Where did you get this info? I didnt notice gambler....

is this the triton bashing page? maybe if you ranger fans spent a little more time fishing and less time running up and down the lake you could appreciate the tritons lol

I'm sure we all want to pay 60k for a boat that chine walks at 65mph.

I'd rather do 60 and get there a little slower. Than have my spine compressed in a 2' chop by a Ranger. just my 2 cents

that would be a 2 inch chop, plus you take a shower every time out in a ranger

[quote=Bradshuflin aka hunter'sdad]All I know is most of you have a nicer boat than I do. I have to work on mine all the time, but mine is paid for and floats. Every now and then it brings a check home, and the most important thing is I get to fish. I don't know why everyone has to.bash any other boat than what they own. Most manufacturers make a good product now days and they are all to expensive. Each boat is a little different and not everyone wants the exact same thing. That's just my opinion about it and I hope I can read something informative tomorrow since that is why I enjoy getting on here. quote]

Great post.....the answer....while not for every one of course...is people try to emulate those they admire.....they tie their selfworth to their possessions......and people try to buy skill.....this $55000 boat or that $500 rod or this $2500 graph will make me a great fisherman ........fishing is becoming a video game.....

ill just stick with my champion 223 elite till she wont float anymore. its unreal that boats cost more than houses now days. And the rangers can fall in behind when its rough out there so they dont get wet.

I've had the same thing nearly happen to me twice in one. The last time I just about went over. Once you turn 'em and they're trimmed down they bite and go the way you're turning. You on the other hand keep going straight! I know of 2 other guys that have had theirs swap ends in a turn. I'll have to pass on that. They are beautiful boats and ride great in rough water, but I don't want to have to worry about driving them.
I have a TR21 and I have never had that happen. I have turned sharp in mine several times and never had it swap ends. I dont get it... They handle great.

Mine runs 72 and doesn't walk

I had a tr-21 and it never walked till it hit 70 then it had very little walk and would cruise at 76. My wife thought it was cool when it started to walk, but I'm sure you were shaking like a virgin on prom night.

You're not going to get tossed out if you know how to drive.

Hmmm, didn't think the sarcasm was hid anywhere there.

I've got quite a bit of seat time in tritons of various years, those comments are rediculous and the ones about the boats swapping the [censored] end on you in river turns too.

I do believe triton won the bass boat challenge (or whatever it was called ) several times, they ran boats through an obstacle course and speed and handling were the key factors. I find it hard to believe triton would be discontinued, Earl would just start building them again. For the folks that claim that tritons are hard to drive, obviously they have not been in one of the newer models, they have taken the fun out of driving one. woot
