Thanks for all the congrats everybody I had a good time! I had only caught and measured 2 fish until about the final 15 minutes of the tournament I pulled out 3 in a row and got the Win! It was pretty exciting/crazy. Good birthday present for sure.

This isn't a fish from Saturday but just a lil taste of what y'all can expect from the Trinity @ University on the 16th. Caught while pre-fishing on Sunday at around 3pm. The spot in the background is not where that fish was caught, had to walk over to someone so they could take my picture lol.



If this warm weather sticks around and the rain doesnt muddy it up too bad the fish are in a good pattern right now. Can't reveal too many secrets but Im ready for the next one!

Nathan knows alot there but Ill be close to Chris for sure...(back to back streams divisional champ) if Chris is having a bad day, Ill bother nate

So many DQ'd! What happened?

I was thinking the same thing!

Even though I've committed myself to the East, I may have to head West for a few trips. My biggest issue is that I've never fished any of those locations and won't have the time to do any pre-fishing. We shall see.

Lot's of people left early because they didn't catch and weren't committing to the east anyways.

Russ I would for sure follow Chris. He caught a bass out there yesterday that made that one look small. It was 6.13lb's and 20". FAT. One thing is for sure. Me and Chris know the river like the back of our hands. Been fishing them a long time.

Nat you have just initiated the curse of homefield. According to Dan, in the history of BG, the only participant to win homefield has been Joe. Russ blanked at Echo, Paul at Las Colinas. Will Nat blank at Trinity...hmmmm.

Damn, I talk too much. I wish nothing but the best for Chris and Nathan, they are great. They know every hole and ledge at that place, hard to beat that.

Lol yeah I hope I didn't bring the curse on myself. But me and Chris have both won several Trinity events so Im not so sure about the homefield curse. Im just excited about this weather and what it is doing to help the bite. Pray it keeps up and stays mild because it's only going to make the bite better!

And thanks Dan! No worries you didn't bring a Chris on me or Chris. Chris actually caught his personal best out there yesterday from the kayak.

Russ and I got a little practice in on the Trinity today. He caught a nice one. I only had a couple bites, but didn't bring anything in. I need a little bit more practice. Though I do know where I'm gonna target come tournament day.

Do you guys have a BIG FISH of the year award?

Looks like im gonna have to run to my spot first then! haha This nice weather needs to hold up so the bite stays good.
