I thought Skeeter was the national brand of Texas. But I think you would probably see more Nitros/Trackers on the water than any other brand.

Sounds like ranger doesnt like competition. Comparing a Triton to a Ranger? I'm sure we all want to pay 60k for a boat that chine walks at 65mph. Mine runs 72 and doesn't walk You don't run their TR-21 do you? I've been nearly thrown out of a TR21 and had a buddy that had his lab go overboard when the dog tried to get in his lap mid chine. I don't get it. no doubt. The old "go fast" Rocket style Tritons were notorious for walking. The boats they manufacture now are a completley different boat... But I understand.

I heard from a reliable source this past weekend that triton was going out of business. Has any one else heard this or know anything about it? Where did you hear that? A reliable source. Everyone knows the best journalist and tff pot stirrers don't name their sources. This is funny.

You have to sit on your hand for five minutes before driving the boat. I don't like the feeling of someone else driving my boat.

I've had the same thing nearly happen to me twice in one. The last time I just about went over. Once you turn 'em and they're trimmed down they bite and go the way you're turning. You on the other hand keep going straight! I know of 2 other guys that have had theirs swap ends in a turn. I'll have to pass on that. They are beautiful boats and ride great in rough water, but I don't want to have to worry about driving them.

If you are having issues with a Triton, whether it be a TR20 or 21, you need to learn how to drive a bass boat. Chine walking is usually on the driver. If you can't drive at high speeds, then slow down a little. Speed doesn't make you fish better.

You've obviously never topped out a 17ft 1984 model Skeeter Starfire! lol That puppy likes to woblle wobble.... makes for an exciting ride. The good ole days.... I really didn't think these bigger boats did that anymore. My Skeeter sure don't do it.

I have a 1986 Starfire, and it doesn't get topped out much due to having an 86 model motor on it. We are not talking about old boats, we are talking about today's boats. If you set them up right, they will run right. For some reason fisherman are more infatuated with the need for speed instead of actually fishing. KVD ( I am assuming we all know him) once said he doesn't mind losing 4 or 5 mph as long as his boat is rigged up for all his needs. Seems to me speed is a bit overrated.
