I talked to Rusty at the Texas Fishing and Hunting show a few weeks ago. I'd love to catch one of those spoonbill cats.
Is there a season for the spoonbill?
I bought one of those Meat Hunter rods with the paracord wrap - seems like a really good rod.

I bought one of those Meat Hunter rods with the paracord wrap - seems like a really good rod. Spoonbill will be good November-May. There is no "season" up here, but that is when snagging is best. A client of Rusty's caught a fish of a lifetime yesterday on Grand Lake. 80.32 pound MALE!!!

Johnny As soon as that bionic hip can handle a good fight you let me know! I may need some sand bass boogie lessons up here. I've been to busy fishing for the slimy critters and not tracking down the scaley's.
