I may be wrong, but at the lakes here in Texas, Triton seems to be the most popular brand on the water? Would you be able to say the same thing if I asked you to narrow it down to NEW Tritons? Like 2010-2013? I don't know about the DFW market but curious. Here in Austin you rarely see a NEW Triton. The old ones are everywhere (TR-186, TR19, TR20, etc.) but I have only seen one brand new one in the past several months. They are a very sweet looking boat, imo.

I think I read that the new Ranger and Triton line of aluminum boats will be produced in one common facility in Flippin. This could be an indicator of things to come. There is economies of combining common processes and practices. Triton is a solid name in the boating industry, but business is business and survival in the boat building business is tough. I would hate to see Triton go, but it would not surprise me to see them absorbed.

May be Ranger honcho burying another piece of competion. Ranger is owned by an equity group (platinum equity)... which already owns Triton...

Sounds like ranger doesnt like competition. If this is true watch the price of a ranger shoot up when it happens. As if they arent high enough. Personally, i dont think its true, but they did stop the biggest competitor they had and they do own triton so its not impossible.

I dont know how much of this plays into it but I think Triton is one of the Sponsors for the Texas Team Trail this year or atleast advertised as such.

Sounds like ranger doesnt like competition. Comparing a Triton to a Ranger? I'm sure we all want to pay 60k for a boat that chine walks at 65mph.

Maybe they will make a Tranger!!!! Triton and Ranger. Lol No you have it all wrong, they are going to blend all three brands: Stratos, Triton, and Ranger. Welcome the new 'STRANGER' line of boats! You have to sit on your hand for five minutes before driving the boat.

I don't get it.
