I shot over a PM but in my experience, there is no fishery that even holds a candle to Clearlake in the spring. There are a lot of great fisheries but most are weather-dependent and can be very hit and miss. Clearlake produces big fish virtually every day from February to August. The biggest difference between Clearlake and the other available fisheries is that you're often looking at 20-50 fish days of quality fish over 4 lbs rather than struggling for bites.
