Trash it and count your losses and never buy one again. Not worth the headache. They are not a good rod. I owned one and it would cause my line to spiral and twist till it would break line. Turd of a rod. Took mine back to the place I bought it and got my $ back.

I used to be all about them till it would have cost me more to send a rod back than it was worth. So I switched to duckett and falcon

They will need the handle piece to ship to them on ur dime the it will cost 35.00. For them to ship it back to you and by the way they sent me my new to in a cardboard tube with no packing material inside so my tip was all bent up.

I wish I could. I have no clue. I was using a shakey head. I fished same reel and same line on the reel before on a falcon Bucoo and no issue. Spooked 2 more times and could get maybe 15 fish in the boat and the line was twisted/shredded in such a state it was irritating. I spool all my reels the same way since I was a little bitty baby so that was not it. Tried 2 brands of floro Seguar Inv and Sun Line. Yes I inspected the guides and could not see anything however I coukd see buildup from my line on the guide seats. Both failed. Took rod back respooled with same spool of Seguar on a Dobyns and no issue.

I'm sure there are plenty of guys that like them and that's fine. I just expressed my only experience with one. Good bad or indifferent. I had two others in the boat with me saying what did you do wrong? I showed them and they agreed rod had something wrong. I'm sure there was cracked guide that our eyes couldn't see. But the rod felt like really sensitive and also I could have snapped it half very easily on a hooksets. Just was not my cup of tea. I think the only thing I did wrong was try spooling a 3rd time.

I like the rods they break easy but if you can afford to keep getting new ones they are good. I have not broke them but other people I have been with have on hooksets and lifting them into the boat. Not the best rod at all, but they are light and very sensitive which I like. There is a reason they say nothing snaps like a carrot stick. I have never had the lint twist issue I have a revo MGX on the rods and love them.

I too have had about 13 carrot stix. I've broke 3 so far. One of them was completely my fault. I pulled the little metal bait keeper out that was right above the reel (this was before they moved them down to the butt). This weakened the material and it broke. One of the other ones was warranted by a dealer and the third one is still in the bed of truck. I'm pretty rough on rods so I just look at it as part of it. I've broke All Stars, Falcons and others...it's just part of it. The Carrot Stix are light and sensitive. That's what matters to me. As long as they break more frequently then I'm good with them.

It is supreme headache to try and get it sent in for warranty replacement, not to mention the cost associated. All of my current setups are Carrot Stix and thankfully the only problem I have had thus far was a tip insert pop out. But, if I do happen to break one, its really not worth it to try and get it replaced through e21.

Y'all wouldn't spend $35 to get a brand new $100+ rod?

PM me when you break one, and I'll give you my address. I'll be glad to take all the broken ones and handle the warranty replacement!

I just completed the process of getting a replacement rod from them and it's not a headache. Yes I did have to fill out a credit card authorization form for $35 shipping and handling and had to fill out one other form. This is all done through email. I did not have to send the rod in and only had to take a photo of it and email that to them.
