Too much memory for my taste too but it's one tough, strong line.

If you buy one of Wally's reels that is pre-spooled, it just nearly a gaurantee that you'll have memory problems. I'm trying to get him to quit pre-spooling, because on small spool reels any mono line (if it sits on there without use for any period...like a new reel will until it's sold) will develop memory. It gives the line a bad name. I've used his line for years without any problems as long as it's line I spool on. His new line is softer and thus better in my opinon for any memory issues.

LOVE IT. Only thing I use, I like it because it's inexpesive & I can change out line every few trips to keep it fresh. I like to throw it in a sinkfull of warm water when spooling it on to help relax it & I use Reel Magic too. The new stuff doesn't have as bad of memory as his old stuff did. I tried the Power Pro braid & it drove me nuts getting tangled around the end of my pole in any kind of wind & I couldn't see it, so I know I missed some fish while using it. At least half of the fish I catch are caught because I saw the line "pop". I would be willing to try a high vis braid, but couldn't stand the gray or green stuff.
2 Bedroom Lake house on CC for rent. P.M. me!

I probably have the newer formula but I like it. It does have a bit more memory than trilene, maybe less or about the same as viscious? It is strong. With the 8lb I can straighten out most crappie hooks when needed. Great deal for the price.

I am a braid man all the way, just wish I could get some hi vis in that braid...there is one exception for me, I will fish 4 or 6 pound test occasionally, if I am fishing in clear water area devoid of brush with only bottom plants...if I see coontail or brush, the braid comes out!!!
