I noticed the Ala,FL, Ga chip is not shown as being for sale any longer and the new southeastern chip covers only fresh water and states the following; *Coastal data not available on SouthEast States map card. As I do about 75% of fishing in Florida inshore it doesn't appear that Lakemaster chip will work for me unless they are coming out with a different one. I sent support these questions so hopefully I'll receive a reply soon.

Version 1 - AL, GA, FL chart had inshore and coastal waters. With the Release of the NEW SouthEast Region the Coastal and Offshore Data will be moved to a Coastal Chart now and the SouthEast Region will Include AL, FL, GA Data plus extend coverage into Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi.

This is the reply I received from Lakemaster. Hopefully they will come up with a coastal chart but it's not sounding to good for the near future if at all.
Hi Bobby, No, that information has been removed. We may offer a Coastal type product based on chart information in the future. If you have further questions, please contact us. Best Regards, LakeMaster Lake Maps Technical Support Group

Hello Fish Alert, the good news is that Navionics has the most extensive and best saltwater coverage. I fish in Florida myself and be happy to help you with what chart you need. Platinum areas are smaller regions but gives fishing data, satelite overlay, 3D, full navigation, photos etc... Gold chart Navionics gives the entire USA at $199. A few examples: Platinum level detail. With sat overlays if fishing the flats, even if not sounded (yet) you can still see tidal creeks and back marshes which is invaluable on some of those areas: This is the same area (for comparison) on Lakemaster, this is a shot provided by Doug that I'm reusing. on the fishing layer, Navionics offers advanced offshore contours for finding ledges, lumps, upwellings, dropoffs and inshore we offer 1' contours in many areas for fishing bays and flats. this is inshore of ft myers offshore area and one more of a bay area on Platinum plus. Please let us know what area you are in and happy to recommend the right chart. Also what plotter you have to check compatability. hope this helps.

Thanks for all the views. I have the Gold Navionics chip but I like the shallow water highlight feature on the Lakemaster. I wish I could see the Lakemaster shallow water highlight for that area Doug showed with the highlight set at 2 ft. I also would have liked to seen it with the contours but I don't like asking people to spend their time doing this for me. The closest place I could go to check it out is 40 miles and sometimes there equipment is down. I'll certainly look at the Platinum card. Thanks for your help.

What do you need? I'll be happy to get any screen capture you want. You can get the Current v1 AL, FL, GA chart and get the current Coastal and Inland Coverage. Might check alot of retailers discount to make way for the new versions coming soon and you can get it at a discount.

OK, thanks Doug. If you could get me a screen capture of the same view of deadman's bay showing contour lines and a shallow water highlight at 2 ft. thanks for your help.

Fish alert. the contours you see (which are virtually none) are what are on lakemaster in saltwater and not all areas are covered. makes one understand why they yanked it from the market. Additonally you can shade in one foot increments on the Navionics charts. go under your settings and select the shading option and you can shade in different variations of blue for water level saftey depth. PS gold is a great chart but if you want more fishing data, you are going to want platinum. Navionics is the ONLY mapping company that has one foot contours inshore for saltwater. shading and mid depth shading is great, but still need contours to find the fish and have shading that is meaningful. for example a NOAA chart is 10' contours generally. A Navionics chart is one foot. so if you shade using a NOAA chart you get 10' increments. missing a lot of detail in between.

Donkster: let me know what area in Texas you are fishing. We have one foot contours for most on the inshore areas of Texas and extra bathy data for all of offshore. Additonally if you are fishing the marshes you are going to want satelite overlay. you ca check our website www.navionics.com for the Gold data and coverage but I'd like to show you some fishing data as well. let me know and I'll get some posted. Either Me or Mike.

Thanks a lot. Would you be able to send me a view of Deadmans Bay like the one Doug provided only showing contours and a highlighted depth of 2ft. using Navionics platinum. I'd really appreciate it and if it's no problem, one showing Tampa Bay. Thanks, you've been a lot of help.
