Joe's Crab Shack. Nasty. Greasy. Bland.
Fudruckers. World's greatest hamburger? Not even in a world where it were the only hamburger. Seriously. Most fast food places make a better burger.
Grandy's. Hospital food is comparable, and better.
Freebirds. Gritty, mealy ground beef. Way too much tortilla, rice and lettuce.

Dairy Palace in Canton is abut as bad as it gets for a burger right up there with Sonny Brians for BBQ
I guess if you have never had a good burger or BBQ, both might be fair, but otherwise skip em both.

I could go on for days with naming bad places but my top 3 overrated restaurants are.....
1. Vince Young Steakhouse is a waste of money. Overpriced mediocre food. 2. Rudy's BBQ - Great for tourists I guess... Not very good BBQ 3. Texas Roadhouse - Been there twice and that was two times too many

For all the Joe T downers........ It's a FW tradition with FW mexican flair, Joe and his family did it basic & RIGHT.....not the fluff that has been added for all the imported clients
Grew up in Cowtown, Been goin there since 73' and still look forward to it. X2

We ought to start a new thread that will be the shortest in the history of the tff.
We'll title it " Restaurants that haven't been named on the most overrated restaurants thread." West side cafe. Simple, cheap, and delicious. It doesn't get much better than the West Side Caf for home style cooking. The chicken and dumplings are fantastic and it costs like $6 or $7 bucks - ya can't beat that.

Marys in Strawn, foods ok but not the got to go to place some say. I would have argued with you about Mary's a few years back but the last couple of times I've been there the CFS was just OK. Seems to me they are living on their past reputation and have basically turned into a roadside tourist trap. Not to mention the prices have gotten a bit over the top - the ticket for 2 medium CFS & 2 iced teas was $37 bucks. Might stop in if I'm out that way but certainly won't go out of my way to get back to Mary's again.
