I am one proud dad, that was the trip of a lifetime, I wanted to say something about Matt, not only is he a great guide he is a Good person. Some of you know me others don't, I'm fully disabled five back surgeries and was diagnosed with a bone disease in November. I can't do a lot of physical things with my son, football, baseball stuff like that I can't. We CAN and do fish alot togeather, This trip was so special to see my boy catch that fish and probably a hundred more was priceless. Him getting the record was the icing on the cake. Matt he has not quit smiling, his mom had neck surgery on December 28th and between me and her he has seen a lot of pain the last few months. Matt for a day and now a lifetime you made my son smile. We had to make Matt take us in, I think he would have fished us until midnight! Chris great meeting you, you also kept Joe smiling! I want to fish with you again soon! Guys book a trip with Matt, take your kids fishing your nieces nephews, neighbors kids it don't matter there is nothing like the joy of watching a child catch THAT fish, could happen any cast. Matt again thank you your more than a great guide. See you feb 23rd, joe wants to know what's the junior stripper record and sandy record he is coming for both!

The fishing has been stupid good this week! I really dont even wanta curse it by saying how good But here's a sneak peak at what came out of the cooler, net, and floor from the large group I had yesterday Today was much the same, only keeping catfish and a few sandies and releasing all others.

BDK, you are right, Matt is a good person, not only do you see it, you can sense it.

That's a lot of meat! I assumed those people are from different families, or they must like to eat a lot of fish! I sure like to get a few of those for dinner myself.

You made a tear come to my eye. My 11 year old sons favorite thing to do with me is throw. Throw anything...football, baseball, anything. I couldn't imagine not being able to do that with him. I am so happy you both can fish together. That is my favorite thing to do with my son. You're right - Matt is a great guy and ya'll made a memory for your son he will never forget! Way to go! Hope the health issues get better!

Great story and thanks for sharing mr. King! Many of my buddies and I know Matt and Matt is a great guy! We all are just jealous of his catching ability over and over again

My next door neighbor, age 65, is going thru the same things with many sugeries and still not fixed yet. I've been helping her a whole lot.

Matt is a great guy #1 and one of the best anglers I have ever met and shared a boat with. I am honored to have fished quite a bit with Matt the last couple years, but I mostly make him go chase those green fish . But, more than anything, I am honored to call Matt a friend.

Congrats to Joe on his record, what a proud day for him and his father!!!
