Hi, I know I am late posting this pic, but this was the larger of the of 2 females caught on Friday, it is at least 15 1/2" the other was 14 1/2" they were caught by my man Lottfisher on the Yegua. She was one fat football.

Guys and Gals,
I'm firming up some details for another get together Saturday February 9th @ Nails Creek Park. I still need volunteers in all areas of outdoor activities..

I've named the event Fish Camp 2013 - fish fry and potluck social where attendees can learn about fish biology & fishing the creeks from area experts. Dip a paddle or two learning to kayak and canoe. Show off your camp cooking skills and join in the feast of fresh fried fish! Stay past dark and gather around the campfire for some real good clean family fun.

I have a few volunteers committed already but always need more. If you have a interest in any area of outdoor adventure or are skilled in something camping/fishing related your help will be much appreciated. Wouldn't it be cool to end the day around a campfire listening to stories and campfire songs.. pickers and singers here's your chance!

Went to Newmans Bottom yesterday afternoon/evening and between 5 of us came back with 11 whites. Saw a few other guys with what looked to be stringers of 8-10. Caught all of them out of one hole with slow, deeper water. Hopefully be able to get back out there Thursday or Friday.

Nice to see more folks posting they took home fish, but it looks like no one is killing them yet, sure hope we get some more rain soon.

We definitely were not killing them. I have one hole that I fish about a 30 minute walk from Newmans Bottom parking lot. I always catch fish there that's why I go there if I'm not sure where the fish are. The creeks still need one more good rain then all hell will break loose. I am patiently waiting for the rain so I don't have to walk so darn far to find fish.

Lets hope we get the rain we need so the other smaller creeks will have some fish too!

Remember that the Hybrids/WB mix, et. al., have tangled the "bloodlines pretty good "the last 4-5 yrs. or so. Watch how you post pics here, and more importantly... What ya try to take home on your stringer. Have fun.
