The cold weather is coming to Taiwan, this is fishing season of the sea bass.

I was driving to Pali yesterday morning,the sky was cloudy and a little raining.





Here was gravel beaches ,so ,had many stones and muddy here.


My friend Bin also came here fishing at one hour later.


He first caught a sea bass at five minutes later, I saw it was had 30CM, then I also caught a sea bass at two hours later.


The sea bass was had 40CM, it was a so powerful fish let me fighting a few minutes.


In noon time,come home time!

I and my friend Bin to free they go back to river.






The day was fun day!

They are fresh and salt water fishes, I am fishing on the Tamsui river downriver close to the sea.

So, I thought the report should be in the freshwater report.

Yes, you did good I guess that would be what we call "brackish water" where the salt and fresh water mix. b

The sea bass into the river mouth not much this year, I will be keep trying to search and catch them.

Looks very similar to our spotted sea trout here in the southern us.

Oh!I am saw the spotted sea trout pictures, but I think they like the big mouth black bass then spotted sea trout.

Looks similar to Texas White bass [ sand bass] as well, different look is the spot. Even size 15 inch same as white bass. Is that only one you caught in 3 hours fishing ?

They are similar and they usually going to midstream from river mouth and they are gluttony.

I was fishing there from 8:00 to 12:00 and I was caught one miss two, that was fun!

We got better luck here,durning Spring bass spawn, it�s easy to caught 10 bass / in a hour on bank fishing in Texas lakes.

I am admire your place and clean water and most fishes,the sea bass come in the river mouth at winter every year,so ,we need to waiting they come over here and more luck for me.

In Taiwan,fishes was not much,because we most fishers were insatiable greed they caught big and small fishes for sale,either,I am so sad.

Those are some good looking bass. Is anyone doing anything about the insatiable greed ? Do you have any licensing agencies or limits or any kind if control over fishermen ?

Taiwan called formosa island in the past, but we saw the river and coast was not clean today, and most fisherman a lot of catching big and small fishes, so fishes are decreasing every year.
