Oh, I'm just guessing. I'm thinking the "+" scrolled off the screen, leaving the line behind it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I belive if this was the case on the second screenshot my chart would be centered over the cursor and not where the boat is.

It has happened a bunch of times and it always reads out between 2.9 & 3.1' I think if it was from the cursor the depth it reads out would vary more.

Perhaps, but I'm not sure your boat icon on the chart is going to hug the position at which the '+' was initially placed, which may remain locked in memory until cleared. But I'm hardly a sonar guru.

10, you might try a "soft rest" on the graph (no I dont remember how to do it). Maybe it's just a glitch but Duff is right, it's odd that your si/di is showing 3ft and there is a solid blue line at 3ft. Find Jason Gilstrap on here and PM him. He works for Lowrance (or something to that extent)

Mine is also occasionally but mostly when drifting. I can't remember the last day I was on the lake when it didn't do it. I'm using an HDS 10 gen 1 and lss1. I belive it is on 4.0 but not sure on that.

I was wondering if any other retailer could beat the price on this unit at Cabelas. A base model HDS-10 Gen 2 with 83/200 transducer for $1,599.00. Its on sale there. Thanks

Got mine in yesterday. No one is even close to that price and they have the HDS 8 Gen 2 for $1,299.

The lss 2 ducer is about 6-7" long and 2-3" wide. The bracket is shorter by a few inches.
