Personally, I like the Houston Fishing Show...cuz it's all fishing and features more local guides, lodges, destinations and independent tackle guys...and less square footage on retail...and aluminum siding, insurance and insole liners.
Was anyone else kinda "miffed" by that booth in Mesquite where they'd try to engage ya' by asking "What's your shoe size"?....Really?

I have to say that we were thoroughly pleased with the show and thought that the new guys did a great job. I was disappointed that there wasn't going to be one this year, and then found out that the Boat Show at Rangers Ballpark was only going to be boats which wasn't for me either.
It was good to see some of the people we saw last year, and it's always good to get a deal on equipment and fishing trips. We drove in from Little Elm and thought it was worth it. I wouldn't mind seeing a more centralized location, maybe Arlington Convention Center, but thought it was great. Thanks for putting this show on for us. I can see this getting bigger in the future.
