Thanks "Flybug" for the reply and the information on the trout. Some very good information about trout that I never knew. "Catfish-Hunter": Me and Mike fished both Haco Springs and the Trail Race this morning. We caught approx. 22 fish. Only caught 3 in the afternoon. Seems the bite stopped once the sun came out. The fishing should be good over the weekend since both places were stocked. At least you had your boys out there! Also bet that Carp put up a fight.

Ah man, didn't get to go Saturday. Sure wanted to just too busy.Went to Bandera today to the river park. Tried to catch a trout there but skunked out. Had some perch play with our different baits. And something big was feeding up top, guessing more carp. Boiling the water.I'm going to do my best to go to the Guadalupe river after church tomarrow. Sure is a nice place. May tow the camper over there this summer. Good job on the catch and info.

Oh yea, and I scored some cool points with my boys on that carp. I seen him pass by and reeled in quick and popped some corn in his face and boom. Set the hook and handed off to my nearest boy. Was pretty cool. Later after fishing some more and getting slow,my oldest boy said " Hey dad, see any more carp?" They don't care what they catch. Heck they wanted to keep it in case some one passes by to look at what we caught. Yea, we'll be back.

Thanks "Catfish-Hunter" and "Tekell" for the replies. "Catfish-Hunter": Glad your boys had a good time and that is what fishing is all about. Keep em fishing and you will never go wrong.
