I like Brandon Palaniuk this year. He went against the grain in a few tournaments and it paid off for him. He seems to find fish others can't.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned KVD. I can think of at least 10 different techniques that he's used to win tournaments. And he's won in almost every state from coast to coast. He's got to be the most versatile dude in the game.

I remember hearing him say his biggest weaknes in 2005 after he won 2 elite 50 events was a tx rigged worm, working it slow. He has a difficult time in grass working big baits very slowly. Typically he doesn't do well in BIG BASS (largemouth) lakes especially with grass. IMO.

I'm just saying. Wouldn't classify him as "most versatile." not discounting his success or skill in any way.

I am going with Aaron Martens. Heck he won a tournament fishing deeper than 100ft. Tough Tournament like this years All-Star or a big stringer like Falcon he can always be a factor.

I can't think of why it wouldn't be KVD, he's won a lot of tournaments fishing a lot of techniques. Just because a Tx rigged worm is his biggest weakness doesn't mean he's not very comfortable in throwing it.

After watching the BASS All Star event up here in IL last fall, BY FAR, Martens is the most versatile athletic wise. Only guy I have ever seen with 36 volt TM on high speed with left foot, right foot on Power Pole switch all the while casting in 30 mph winds and picking apart every single branch of a laydown. When he put Power Poles down, he never shut off TM.
