Trent Miller (aka Stripaholic) designed them, RSR Lures builds them, and now they are now available to everyone. These jig-heads are designed to be used in tandem, with the heavier 1 ounce tied to the bottom of the ¾ ounce (about 18 inches below). As with all RSR Lures jig-heads, we are using the Eagle Claw, 635 Series, Saltwater Grade, forged hooks. The ¾ ounce has a size 3/0 and the 1 ounce is fitted with a 4/0. The 3-D holographic eyes are slightly recessed to protect them from being dislodged. Available in Chartreuse or White, high gloss powder coated finish. Those look great! Have found some elsewhere but hook was definitely not stout enough. Will be putting in an order soon.

About 8 years ago Stripershack and I started making these. Through alot of trial and error several things became apparent. Our mold would not support a strong enough hook, the 3D eyes were exposed enough that line from other poles would pop the eyes off, and I just wanted the weight to be alittle heavier on windy days. So Phillip(RSR) and I sat down to to discuss producing the ultimate deadsticking jighead. Phillip was able to address every issue I threw at him. 1. Hooks on both jigheads are strong enough so when your on a great bite and you get your fish to the boat you can just grab the jighead and pull the fish in... no net needed. 2. The 3D eyes are recessed so they stay on. contin...

3. The hooks are long shank hooks to give you a better chance to stick those short striking fish. 4. With the soft plastic holder being on bottom, your assassin shouldn't split. I had that issue with what I was making. Ways to use these... I typically have half of my rods rigged with tandam and the other half rigged with the single 1oz jighead. When rigging tandem the bottom jighead leader is 20lb test(or braid for those that prefer braid)so you can land 2 8+lb fish. If you get on big fish use single rigs. Tandem rigs just tend to catch more fish partly because your covering more water. But also because you can put different colors/sizes on each to find what they want that day. Some days 3 inch assassin is best. Contin....

One reason I've preferred this style is your mimicking glass minnows, a preferred cold water food source. Big eyes, on any artificial, can do nothing but help your chances at drawing a predatory response.

Trent " deadsticking" Miller knows the mechanics behind the madness of building these jig heads. When I shop on line, I try to mimic what he builds from scratch. These rsr jig heads will flat catch fish. The "aspirin eye" works wonders on the lakes that I fish, Graham, PK and Bporte. The tandem is the only way to go for me as the extra weight keeps the lure in the target zone or helps u find it when the water is cold and the extra two feet up or down makes a difference.

Finally a jig head with 2 places to tie! Any 1/8 or 1/16 jig heads like this? Or a place i can get them? Agreed... if you could make the tandem style jig head in the smaller sizes, you would have crappie fisherman ordering them in the hundreds for tandem jigging

I can verify the quality of these jig heads. I was fortunate enough to fish some TSA tournaments with and become good friends with Chad and Trent over the years. I have some of the original jig head they made and they work great. We used their jig head at the Granbury TSA tourney in 2011. Strickly deadsticking and managed 1st place. I have no need for any other jig head style. They're awesome!! Still waiting on a double hook up though May have to get some of these new designed ones!

you could also use them in summer when the slab bite is on,tie your slab on bottom jig on top,i used to have breakoffs doing this as the rig is compromised ,looks like these would stop that.may need a lighter jig for this rig though.

Hey Felipe, You gonna offer these un-coated or painted also? Ahhh, the beauty of manufacturing them here. Yes, as with ANY lure we make, we will supply'em how you want'em. Bare lead, base-coat powder, with or without eyes etc.

I like the idea for the summer slab bite. I usually tie a dropper loop or use a swivel with a slab below a curly tail on a jig head. This avoids the dropper loop break offs. Also avoids the line twist/knotting with a swivel for the curly tail that i usially put on a 5" leader I'm Not a big fly fan so this should work for me well. I'll be placing an Order soon. I need glitter shad also.
Good looking product.

So I went to wheeler branch today to try to spoon some Walleye and thought what the heck, I'm going to drop the new rig down and see what happens. I was drifting a 45' along some brush piles and let the rig sit at 20 pulls. Didn't get any Walleye with the spoon but I got a nice and fat ditch pickle on the top one. I should have bought more.

Thanks for the super fast shipping Phillip! My StrippAholic lures came in yesterday. My wife asked my what are these "Monster Inc" looking stuff?? Because of the huge cyclop eyes. lol
Ordered 'em Thursday night and arrived to my door at noon Saturday. Priority Mail is great! Flat rate is great also. Gotta tell you a story, back in Oct I ordered 200 one oz sinkers to go down to the coast. The lure store from NJ packed all 200 sinkers in the $5.xx flat rate Priority Mail box. That "small" box weighs almost 13 lbs!!! Poor mailman! Hehe.

Nice jig heads Philip. They look great and I can't wait to get me some and hit the water soon (almost done hunting). Your quality and customer service shows through once again. You have quite the selection of lures now and I like the fact that you make them all in-house so there is no waiting for stock to come in from somewhere else. Just keep making me those flutter jigs and "Heck Yeah" Shad.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I had the pleasure of fishing with Kerry Dugan and some friends at Texoma last Saturday. For 5-6 hours straight, I was just using ONE just head with a fluke and didn't even get a nibble.
Almost everyone was using a tandem setup and caught striper. Finally, peer pressure gave in and Kerry gave me a tandem jig head and I quickly re-tie my setup.
Within 30 mins, I finally got a thump and pulled in a striper! Thanks Kerry!
You know what they said, two heads are better than one!
Will be placing an order this weekend for some jig heads.

I will be at the tackle show Saturday and Sunday, if anyone needs me to bring any orders. Saving freight = saving $6.00.
I'll mainly be around Luck of the Irish's booth # 715.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Kerry Dugan and some friends at Texoma last Saturday. For 5-6 hours straight, I was just using ONE just head with a fluke and didn't even get a nibble. Will be placing an order this weekend for some jig heads. Lee I offered numerous times for you to run a tandem

I ordered mine on Mon of this week got em on wed. If they fish anything like the service given to send them, the fish are in for a real #ss kicking!. The quality of these jigs are superior to the ones that I have been ordering from Northland tackle that I have been buying from for over 5 years.
