i bought a 598 si hd and it says it will accept lakemaster,navionics gold,, hotmaps and hotmaps premium. which is best for ray hubbard or palestine ty.

I love the features of the Lakemaster cards. I like being able to check water level of Lake Palestine online and then being able to set the Lakemaster maps to show correct depth.

Also check www.navionics.com you can click on the website and see our chart viewer. We have both the lakes you are looking for in one foot contours. Navionics also boast the most one foot lakes in Texas and the most lakes in general for the area. Check out the viewer and look at any of the lakes you want.

you will also see some good underwater structure features, safety concerns, timber, etc... make sure you register the chart and you'll recieve a year free of Freshest data which is where Navionics does daily updates to charts with new data, new lakes, or the latest chart navigation corrections.

Not Exactly. HD for LakeMaster means High Detail...Yes most HD Lakes are 1 Foot Contours but on some shallow waters Lakemaster may go to 6" contours. It's Contour lines per area that LakeMaster uses to determine HD Level for their Mapping.

These are the Current Lake List for Version 2 Texas/Oklahoma. The HD Lakes are in Bold. Palestine and Ray Hubbard are both HD. The NEW MidSouth list should be released really soon with the latest listing. If HD in Version 2 they will be HD in new Mid South Region.

Gotreal... for freshwater you will want the Hot Maps Premium or Platinum. Gold is for saltwater and major rivers. For what you are looking for it wount be of assistance. Both Premium and Platinum have the same lake detail (again check the website) but the platinum will goive you 3D view, some photos, but more importantly the satelite overlay which can come in handy for extra dock detail or better yet skinny water creeks and up jet boat areas that are not considered "navigable". again make sure you register the chart online within 60 days to get a year of free updates.
