Doce Tuna Count Down
We quietly slipped past the 300 day mark. I am behind, my stuff is not packed and waiting by the door. 297 and counting...man it stinks to have that many days between blue water trips

On the tackle side of things. I am needing to restock shibuki's. I have used the toro tamer's with some success but it seems they do not always run properly. Rumor is the maguroni (sp?) is not being made anylonger, if they are I would be interested in a link to purchase. I also noticed the shibuki is offered in 56g and 80g. What size do you guys mostly use?
As for additions to my tackle stuff. Looking for a soft plastic swim bait. I hear jig has a line on some that are pretty inexpensive. What has he been the RonZ success for the gulf? I have also seen where people use rattle traps or similiar. Does anyone have anything to say about rattletraps for effectiveness or brand/make/style/color to use?

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

Good to know. Never used a maguroni. Wonder if they build them to the same specs?

I use the storm wild eyes soft baits. 6 or 9". I got them off ebay so cheap it was almost free.

BTW, there is a guy on 360tuna selling jigs for $3, no rings/hooks. I just got twenty and they certainly look well worth $3 to me. These are the deals you need to move on when you have the opportunity. Buy when you can, not when you have to.

Thanks guys.
RonZ has been done...yellow? really? Could be best color its just not popular with the feeshermen.
Thank you jig, will start keeping an eye out for those guys, you told me once before and I just could not remember.
Lite-liner if I take nothing else on the boat it will be sinkers and sardines. I kind of like the idea because it gives you the best shot at dolphin also.
I did not receive an email from TOO hope they received the money order!

This is a new guy. tailfisher is his 360 name. Search under buy, sale trade forum for "butterfly jigs for sale" Better do it quick, I think maybe he's going out of business. $3 for a 7oz jig is hard to beat.
