Sorry to hear about your problems. Every shop has problems at times. Its how they handle the problem that separates them.

Had this happen on my merc.the float in the reserve tank under cowling was bad, had to replace the whole thing.Rockwall Marine found it on the first trip.Great bunch of guys if you can take it there.

Its a haul to Rockwall from Nac for sure. It is not unreasonable to expect that someone making their living working on outboards should know how to diagnose a problem and FIX it properly. This is so irritating when it happens! I think I would call the shop that you took it to and ask for the Owner. Tell him your story and then ask what they think is fair. Most shops do not want the negative press so I am sure they'll work something out with you.
The guys at Rockwall Marine are very good.
The guys at Sartin Marine are also very competent. I have my boat serviced there regularly. Give Billy Sartin a call and they will take good care of you. Tell him I sent ya.
