I have not heard anything good about choke lately so was kind of hesitant to go when invited by my cousin to head down there sun the 11th when the wind was supposed to be crazy, but when you get the invite to go out on a brand new Z9 with a 250 hard to turn down. Cant give away my spots but we put in at south shore. Started early with the wind down, my friend Mike that was with us, who hasn't been out in a while, recent father, hooked up first with a 4.6 shortly after breaking the rods out. He was super excited because that was right up there with his PB. Not a bunch of action afterwards so we made a move. Shortly after dropping the trolling motor Mike is on another on, he said OMG it feels huge. My cousin and I were hard after a bite so didn't pay to much attention until it surfaced and we both jumped for the net. Got her up and on the scale, 10.0 on the dot after bouncing from 10.2 to 9.9, new PB for Mike, he was shaking and histerical. Not more than three casts later and 20 feet from the 10 he hooks up again and yells another big one! This time we payed a little more attention and were ready with the net. Sure enough another sow, 8.28 after the scale settled. He almost broke down, seeing as this was the first time he had been out since his son was born, and this was the best day of fishing he had ever had. Made me so happy to see him with that kind of excitement, and no I didn;t catch anything that came close to anything he caught but it was one hell of a day. We were off the water by 10am, all fish were released after some pics. I have to figure out how to post them from my phone and I will get them up. Choke is still an awsome lake just gotta fish it!

After getting skunked Friday...you can have it!

We did that on Falcon, 10, 10, 9, 11.4, 10 all in 7 consective cast, this went on for 4 hours and 25 fish total. Best 5 went 48 lbs. I was shaking for hours, we hit the magic tree with DD22's, it was like taking candy from a baby! I got a pic of the 11.4 and a 9 in two hands, BASSMASTER Mag is placing it in an upcoming MAG in the LUNKER section.

I kept asking myself, "Is this for real?", when we woke up that morning I told my partner that this was going to a picture day, it was day two of a five day trip. We shook 6 and 7 lbers off the rest of the trip, our hands were ripped to shreds from the PICTURE day.

Awesome, you will laugh about your day for the rest of your life!
