Here is LakeMaster Images on Lake Lavon from the Version 2 Card. Hopefully representatives from the other companies can give your their mapping coverages. It' best to compare before you purchase to help you get the best coverages for your needs. Anyone else need examples let me know.

LakeMaster is already starting to label areas with trees. We may see alot more as new releases are coming very, very soon! Here's one of the coolest new features for those with iPilot Link and Humminbird using LakeMaster http://youtu.be/Yx9ucIdFNXI

I'd suggest an update program for current users as well.(make it for a fee) It would be a good selling point just like it is for the birds.

help me understand this with lakemaster 2 there is no humps pond dams drawn on the maps. but with the navionics your able to find road beds and ponds and humps like displayed on the map. can my unit have the best of both worlds loaded in my msds slots i have bird 898 i really think lakemaster is lacking behind in that department and i have lakemaster in both front and back is this going be upgrade in future. cause i fish lake fork and i love to se where find these road beds and tanks and humps on the lake. i have also invested in contour elite and its same thing no ponds no road beds or tanks to mark. Doug am i overlooking something here we supposed to have the best in htis lakemaster. yet i look at my friends hds 10 and he has all this with insight and navionics.

You can have both in the Unit at the Same Time you just have to select which one you want to view from the Chart Menu Left or Right. Are you talking about Labels? Road Bed Displayed (Overlayed) on Contours? LakeMaster has some of that but the contours shows them well. Red Lines are Road Beds, Purple is Creek Channel and you can see the Pond and Dam in this image...Image is from Lake Fork Plus the White Football Shapes if you move the cursor over them and hit the INFO or Checkmark Key will provide more information here is some on Lake Fork and then what the Info Tells you...the depth changes with with the Water Level Offset in the Info Displayed.

Paul, Sorry it took so long. Below are the screen shots of the same spot on my Navionics PC and Humminbird 998, I was not able to take a screenshot on my Android Phone of the same location, no capability for it at this time. I updated both my PC and Navionics card last night, so they have the same version on them. You'll notice that the creek is not on my 998 image, nor are the contour lines marked with depth numbers as they are on the Navionics PC. Navionics PC Humminbird 998 I turned on Navionics PC again this morning and noticed Navionics has another update for the Southern region. Quite a bit of trouble and time consuming to download over 1 Gigabyte every day. Would be nice to know what lakes are effected by the most recent data before downloading... if all I know it could be new data for a different state.

NTexas: At first glance, it appears there is finctionality not turned on the Humm unit. Check under the chart options and make sure that spot soundings are turned on. Thats the first thing I noticed. Humm changed some software and you have to actually turn on spot soundings and extra details. that could be problem one. message me and I can get you in touch with customer service through me and get you some help with that. as you mention you did freshest data, so the chart would have the latest. it has to be features settings. Mine does the same thing and have to turn them on for spot soundings etc.

Paul, The spot sounding indeed brought back the contour numbers, but no bueno on the creek channels. I called support and after their looking at the Navionics card on a Humminbird at their location, they came to the conclusion that there is an issue likely with the interworking between Navionics and Humminbird. They have raised the issue with Humminbird with the suspicion that a "layer" may not be enabled in Humminbird. I find this discouraging to say the least as who knows how long this will take and my Navionics updates are now expired. I do not think I will pay for another year of updates until I know it is fixed....

Basser: Thanks for the info. Was on vacation last week. Very interesting. I spoke with our Customer Service and apparently the Lowrance is showing more information in those areas than Humminbird. VERY strange that this would be the case. We are composing an email to Humminbird today on this issue to have them correct their software. I would inagine they woulndt want to fall behind Lowrance as far as getting data to their customers. Thanks for alerting this to our attention. CS has your email and will contact you or feel free to reach out to me anytime. Again, thanks for the heads up!
