I am wanting to install a similar on the deck tackle storage system from the Hobie PA on my RIDE. Has any one considered or already rigged anything similar? I just got the new elevated seat which I feel will give me some room under the seat to do my install. Mike was telling me that I could do a simple bungee and hook type of setup and some sort of sts lining to stabilize the boxes to reduce shifting.( I have seen a review on the seat that says the new tackle storage under the elevated seat is hard to access...) As far as the in the deck storage Mike said he has access to them but my challenge would the room on my deck for the install but how sweet would it be not to have to lug my crate around and still have access to all my gear.

Adrian..we keep the Hobie hatch kits in stock. Remind me next time you are by and you can check one over and take some measurements. If space permits that box would make a really cool installation on a Ride.

I have often thought the same thing and this would be how I would make it. These are made out of something similar to King Starboard and you can cut/shape it with regular woodworking tools. A little stainless hardware and you have something that could be quite useful and making it to the application would make it more functional.
