Got there at 8am & fished till 6:15pm trout on a fly were non existent all day! caught two fish on a wooly before lunch then took a break from 1pm til 2pm, back on the water at 2:15 pm and walked all the way up to the flats above the bridge and then all the way down to the ripples before stripper bend and NOTHING! I resorted to salmon eggs on my ultra light and caught 15 fish in an hour, all turned back due to their small size {too much trouble to mess with} the fish turned on top water from 5:45pm till 6:15pm caught 4 on an #18 olive & #18 cahill. A beautiful day on the water with bright sunny skys and little to no wind but the "fly" fishing was horrible. I did however wind up in the middle of a flock of wild turkeys that decided to fly across the river and landed literally at my feet! I don't know who was more startled me or them? About 8 hens and 3 HUGE mature Toms

Hey guys its been a while since I have posted here. Just curious if the Brazos would be worth the drive right now. I see the water flow has only been about 20 cfs lately. I live in north Fort Worth area and was thinking of heading out tomorrow morning to be on the river fishing before sunup. Anyone been out lately? How did you do?

Went last 2 Saturdays. Didn't set the world on fire but did ok. Pheasant tail nymphs and near deers is what I caught them on. Caught a bonus spot with several bows.

Well I went. Got there about 45 minutes before daylight. Fished until 1 and only caught 2 trout and a bream. The trout were so small they were hardly worth messing with. I just turned them loose. Tries multiple nymphs a few drys.( there was a hatch around sunrise) wooly buggers but only had my luck with a Mickey fin.
Anyone caught any of decent size or has tpwd reduced the size from years past? Several years ago I caught some decent ones worth cleaning.
I had the place to myself until about 11.
