Have a trip planned to Falcon for last week of Jan. beginning of Feb. What map do you guys suggest purchasing to fish this lake? Suggestions on tackle for this time of year would also be helpful.

Stop by Lake Falcon Tackle. There information is the gospel.
We have done really well on spinner baits, mag. flukes and your favorite pitching and flipping baits, in 2 to 5 foot of water.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

Who was the guide? I am thinking about booking a trip down there and I want to make sure I stay away from him.

Fishing has been tough there, no doubt. The lake is low and getting a lot of pressure. There is still good fish to be caught but they are harder to come by. In Jan and Feb, white spinnerbaits, mag flukes (c rigged) and pitching jigs.

Choose your guide carefully....I mention no names, but some have questionable past, some are good, but they all work very hard for their money...I know, as I guided in the past....good luck and Merry Christmas!

I have been fishing the winters here at Falcon for the last 5 years. Been here a month now and I couldn't believe it. The fishing is even worse than the post portray it to be. Wasting your time and money if you are expecting much. Hate to see someone spend a lot of money to come down here and be disappointed. Sorry, but you have been warned.

Just my two cents... If I saw a picture of myself or my friend on a guides site that tried to pawn it off like it just happened when in reality it was two years... I'd be posting his name and exposing him. Thats not cool to lie about reports and dated pics.
