Something I need to know? confused

Ren likes to swim at the sssl.
3 times to be exact. Twice not by choice, fell while standing on my kayak trying to get my lure out of a tree branch & fell out of my canoe trying to remount my trolling motor in the middle of the creek. 3rd time my rod fell in & I went in after it. All 3 times were in very cold weather.

The 2 times I fell in I didn't have my PFD on, but it was within reach. I had my PFD on when I went in after my rod & also tied a rope to myself attached to my kayak should I get in trouble while in the water I could pull myself back to the bank.

Launched at about 8:15am temp was about 34 degrees, but didn't seem to be too cold. Maybe it was because I had on shorts, adidas climate armor shirt, adidas climate jersey, hoody sweat shirt & my crappie winter suit, but tooes were freezing On my way up the creek took some scenic pics. Battery was fully charged & was making a pretty big wake, but then my TM slowed down like I had it on low. Need to get my battery charge at the battery store or something. At least it didn't die on me. Upon arriving at my spot (zombo knows which one), I see 2 bassbusters already fishing it. Guess they saw me & zombo fished there last time So I motored up the creek just a few yards (one of my old spots) & on the 1st cast, a keeper! Made another cast & didn't even get the chance to twitch my bobber & down it went, another keeper! 3rd cast, yet another keeper. This went on for about 15 minutes & I had 8 keepers. The old timers in the bassbusters could only watch in awe One yelled out, what are they biting on? I hollered back, red/orange about 5ft deep, but I was using white/chartreuse 1 1/2 ft below my bobber. Was that mean of me? I caught half on jig/bobber & half vertical jigging with the same color.

Morning Frost

Sun breaking thru the tree line

Going up the creek

Managed to stay dry & caught a few. The cold front brought the BIGGUNS in!!!

Nice report. How big are the bigguns, and how big is the little one hiding in the corner?

Biggest one was almost 13". The smallest was 10 1/2". Most were 11"-12". The little one hiding in the corner was perch (long-ear)
