so after reading this...
the only really synonymous decision here is a gold spoon... thats what im seeing so far haha. I know. On top of it all, I see guys with cheap gear and cut bait pulling out monster fish and I can't catch jack with my nice lures and tackle.

popping cork with new penny gulp shrimp John, you are the only one to include a pink color of something in his list. I could have used that two weeks ago when I was freezing my tail off in my kayak in the Packery.

Pink is a really good winter color. Don't know why, but have found it to be effective, especially in dirtier water.

I am no salt water (or fresh water for that matter) guru.
But I will say that ANYTIME I am fishing salt water there is at least a couple of Gold Spoons in my kit.
It may not be the alltime best inshore lure, but I bet it is REAL close if it is not.
Sitting around the beach front ice houses of the Texas Coast over the course of my life listening to the old salts talk, the one thing that most of them agree on is that a spoon is hard to beat.
You can fish those things so many different ways and they work on every species of fish too.
A Texian is just a regular person way out on a limb
