1st time on Lavon was a good one. Had my 3 yr old son and my father with me. Got to the lake around 11ish or so, got some bait right quick and moved out to open water to start a drift. 2nd fish in went 16 and while my father was netting that one, another rod went down. I was able to reach it from where I was so I took the rod out of holder and just kind of held it until Dad had the 16 in the boat. Then I turned my focus on the new fish.
The next fish was, well, the biggest and darkest blue i've ever seen or caught and made the whole day awesome. Not sure of the exact weight, the scales I'm holding it with are 50lbs, and it maxed out. This is a new big fish for me, just wish I knew the actual weight. The rest of the day were all 10lb or smaller..here are a few pics:

I'm guessing this want be your last trip at Lavon. That blue is really blue. Congrats on the PB.

Awesome fish. I caught a dark one like that one out of Lavon back in January 2008 in 35 foot of water. It surfaced about 50 yards from the boat and I didn't think it was a blue because it was soo dark. It is in the signature below. It was 46.5 pounds. I think your fish would be in the low to mid 50s. Those Dark Blues are awesome looking fish. Congrats!
