This is the famous bend at White Rock Creek everyone fishes at.
All the white specs on the Down Imaging screen, are Crappie!
(client with average crappie for WRC)
Now, thats only one spot in the whole creek. The fish are just not stcked in one spot in the creek. They are everywhere. All you have to do to get around the mess of people that are at the bend, is walk around to the next bend! again the fish are scattered all along the creek holding tight to wood and debris piles. This goes for all the creeks I am guiding at right now. I only go to WRC if my clients live near it. Otherwise, we are at 3 other creeks, just smashing them. Most creeks and rivers are no more than 15 ft, with most being 6-10 foot deep on average.
(fist timer crappie fishing)
One day they are in one spot thick, then the next day they might have moved upstream or downstream to another stucture. You will never see me in a spot longer than 15 mins. We are on the move the whole time jig and bobber & throwing tandum ( 2 jigs) the whole time till we find where they are. 5 days out of the week, my clients are limiting out thier 25 fish per person.

(Secret Creek limit)
Minnows have been key this year. But, if your minnow hits the water and immediatly goes under with a crappie at the end of it, and they do that 3 times in a row, put a jig on and save the minnows till the bite slows. Then hit them with the minnows again. I have been averaging a pound of minnows per two people. When we run out of those, my clients MUST learn the jig/bobber bite, so I teach yall how to do that, too. I make sure everyone can do this on thier own without me there after the trip is done.
Other than White Rock Creek Crappie fishing, there are a bunch of other creeks and rivers in the DFW Metroplex, to catch fish in. Thats why yall have only seen me a few times at White Rock. Its all about scouting and fishing hard till you figure it out. Or, I am available for hire to teach you how to catch these tasty fish!

(What happens when I fish alone? A limit!)
You can sometimes sit in one spot and limit out, but we have been fishing the bend early morning at WRC, then walking upstream and hitting all the wood and debris piles we can find. Otherwise, the other creeks I am at, you can sit in one spot and limit out almost everyday. -I have yet to see another person down there, at the 3 other creeks, other than previous clients.

Just because someone is in your honey hole when you walk down to your spot, doesnt mean that the day is over, again, all you have to do, is walk till you find another pocket of them. The crappie move everynight following the shad around the creek. Same as the lake fish, as the sun gets up, they hide in cover. Cloudy days are the best, but we have only had a couple of those. Otherwise, you have to fish the shaded pockets or just deeper. To find them, Ill throw a tandum rig in the deeper spots. I dont spend more than 10 mins per spot. If you catch one, there are more right where you hooked it. -Usually.
Man, less than 2 months, they are going to be easier! They will be spawning and we get to take the boat to a cove, hop out in 2 ft of water, and wade the shallows in coves for slabs!
