Oficially a 63# Blue Tawokoni, huge shad head 6500 C-4, Proangler Rod, 8'0 Gamakatsu Circle hook, caught one before that I think was a little bigger but scales only went to 50# that day

My PB is a 42 1/4 lb that is in my signature. I caught it this past Thursday at lake Lewisville. Caught it on a big shad head. The reel was a Abu 5500 built by Turbo Fred on a Pro Angler rod. Tom told me its time to go catch a big'un now. LOL So now I am chasing the 50 and 60 lb mark. With a little luck it could happen.

32lb Blue at Benbrook on a minnow while fishing for crappie. Took forever to land it but gave me the catfish bug.

Yes you have to enter by boat from the river at Bakers Landing on 287. You can only get to within about 1.5-2 miles of the dam where the low water dam is and the Forbidden Zone starts. The entrance to old Richland creek is about 4 miles South from 287. You can get in best with the river at half bank and two gates on RC open. With 4 or more gates open it is best to avoid it and the water is so swift fishing is not near as good. When the water is right this can be an excellent spot for big stripers, blues, and gar.
