Ive been using Rapala DT series with a lot of success lately, they are 6.49 each but sometimes you can find them discounted, 6, 10, 16. . i have bandits, kvds, i like excaliburs silent sq bill. none of them stand out more then the other, i just happen to have the DT tied on 90% of the time now.

The DT-10s are killer at the right time for a shallow bait, if you are not getting quality bites on the shallower baits, like as it warms up in summer, try the 5XD and 6XD in 15-20 feet, you will be surprised how many fish are out there wishing someone would throw a crankbait by them. I got several magnum crappie on a 6XD cranking it through brushpiles in 15+ feet. And bass. A lot of deep-holding bass do not see cranks often, everyone wants to feed them jigs and worms.

Real trucks don't need spark plugs.

Just chunk it out and reel it in. If it has a square bill try to bump it into cover. If has has a round bill try to make it bounce off the bottom close to a contour change such as a creek channel. It might be kind of hard to use cranks from the bank because the dive deeper and you are reeling them shallower but if the bottom is pretty clean or drops steep enough they will work. You can use them all year long, just have to vary retrieves until you find what they want

My all time fish catcher bar none is the original Cordell Hot Spot in yellow/silver, no split ring on top, for me its #1 and I have proved it many times. From farm ponds to lakes.

Use them from the bank all the time. just lift up on the rod tip as it gets closer to you--makes it run shallower.

Normans are a great crank bait at a very affordable price.

Normans = BIG GUNS!!!!!!!!! and big fish. If your getting deep with the DD22 you better have the right rod and reel set up.
