I was stationed in Colorado and learned how to catchem. Just like catching panfish here. Sinker and worms or powerbait will work just fine. Marshmellows and rooster tails also work
Thy will be done

Alabama Schooly Rig...... One cast and you got a limit.

i have done well in Allen with gold super dupers and inline spinners. dark colors seem to work well.
Set the hook..... It's free.

Well, city of Dallas cheaps out again with no stocking at Samuel Farm. Here is THE method for power baiters. The reason I like power bait is because it floats. Use a #6 or 8 hook and a ball of bait just large enough to cover the hook. Put a split shot about the size of a pea 3 feet up the line. Throw it out there. And, contrary to popular belief, the closer you get to the middle of the pond or the opposite bank does not mean the sweeter the spot. Gotta laugh at the "power" casters. Anyhow, the power bait floats the hook above weeds etc and give trout a better chance at seeing it. Using this rig I have limited in 10 minutes many times at Samuel Farm when they were stocking it. (and when they were biting actively) I am gonna HAVE to find something better than City Lake or Ablon.
