COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

we got to the lake around 11.00 and scanned a line of bridge pilings just for the fun of it, and didnt see much as far as crappie., so off we went, fishing shallow timber and a little brush in the 6 to 8 foot range. TEXAS TOAST SLAB BANDITS did us proud today. best 7 went 7 pounds 11 ounces. not bad forcentral tejas crappies. ![](http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx42/leaninpost/100_1016.jpg)

. the trick is to not let them get too much of thier own urine in the tank, it will kill them. You have to either replace some water with lake water, now and then, or declorinate the tap water before you add it. They will eat around 2 minnows, every other day, but sometimes go on rampage and eat more than 2. At night they usually sit right on the bottom if u turn the light out. In the morning when you turn the light on, they will rise off the bottom. The minnows know when they are in feeding mode and will hide. When the crappie is done eating, the minnows will swim carelessly right in front of thier mouths without any worries of being eaten.

You need to toss in some different color slab bandits just before feeding time to see what the color of choice will be for the day.

What size is that tank? If you dechlorinate the water will they always survive?

Looks like a good day Steve. Caught fish and put a "BUCK" down on the ground without firing a shot. ![rolfmao rolfmao](/forums/images/graemlins/default/roflmao.gif)
Keep on fishing.

Ya I had a planted tank for years and changed the 50% of the water once a week and monitored the ammonia levels and the plants took care of most of the nitrates in the water. Maybe it was just that particular fish had him in a pretty big tank too 75 gal congrats on the nice mess of fish
