The majority of the guys I know that have done it have raved about it. Not so much from a fan boy point of view but from all the good stuff they actually learned while on the water. A couple ended up making a great friendship with the pros the rode with and still stay in touch. I would think going into it with an open mind, a willingness to learn and the right attitude would make it a great experience.

+1 on what Mark said. I rode with Ott Defoe and Woo Daves year before last at Hubbard during the PAA and learned techniques I had never tried before. I was never a big boatslips/dock type fishermen using spinning reel and 8lb test line bringing in 5lb bass. After riding with Woo, he gave me new ideas to use that have been very productive. Ott mainly pitched a jig and the old p70 rebel pop r.

I have been an observer for PAA on Tawakoni and Ray Hubbard. It was a great experience both times. I wish I had the time to do it on Falcon. Should be a blast!
