If you have a small group and would like to stay together give Bill Fondren a call at 409-381-1397. Bill manages Tiger Creek Lodge and has lots of room for individuals or groups of 20 or more. GREAT place to stay with friends!

I don't know how everyone else did, but my partner and I had five small keepers for about 7-8 lbs. we figured it's rayburn and that couldn't have pulled a check, so we threw em back and went to the house. Was curious how others did myself.

Also that north wind was kicking!!!!

18 something won. We had a hair under 12 pounds. That wind made for some fun boat rides.

Thanks to everyone who came to fish and visit with us at the tournament. We had 48 teams, which was more than expected considering the less than ideal weather.

The winning team was Taylor and Muddiman with 18.56 lbs.

2nd Place - Frazier and Hill - 17.07 - 6.99 Big Bass
3rd Place - Moore and Ikner - 14.36
4th Place - McMorris and Jernigan - 13.87
5th Place - King and Nail - 13.30
6th Place - Musik and Fork - 13.29

Over $4,500.00 in cash was awarded to the winners with more than $1,500.00 worth of door prizes and Reaction and Santone products given away. We had a great time and hope that everyone else did as well! I'd like to issue a special Thank You to The Dam Liquore Store and The Stump for donating the door prizes.

Anybody willing to answer a few questions for me about the tournament and your experience, and share some photos for a story to be posted on www.texassportscenter.com? If you want to help me out, please email me at either sharingoutdoorstories@gmail.com or jlhall1107@gmail.com, or send me a message here. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I was unable to be out there yesterday! Thanks so much and have a wonderful day!!

Kathy, Josh and Chris, thanks for putting this together! Jerrod, thanks for cooking the burgers, hot dogs and hot links! Pake and I had a blast! We put in there by Umphrey's Pavillion and were very limited by the wind and waves, but managed to weigh in five for 7.99 lbs. We caught all our keepers before noon and had 20 fish by then. We caught another 15 after noon, but were only able to cull once. Pake had one around 4 1/2 lbs. first thing in the morning on a buzz bait, but it shook off at the boat. Hindsight is always nice and if I had it to do over we would have trailerd around to Five Fingers or Caney. I just didn't know my way around Sam Rayburn's roads. I bought a map for next time. It was a pleasure meeting everyone there. Pake is already begging to go back. I tried to take a picture or two of Pake's first Spotted bass but he insisted "We ain't got time to take a picture of that little thang". Kathy sent me this picture so it's only one I have. We'll be better prepared for next time.
